      Verdict

      This looks between the top two at the weights but Albert Finney has returned a losing favourite on both subsequent starts since winning a novices race over a shorter trip at Wolverhampton and LORD LAMINGTON is preferred. The latter was having his second outing since being gelded when romping home by seven lengths at Newcastle a week ago and can defy a penalty with more to come from him. The remainder have plenty to prove with the returning Chinese Alphabet perhaps best of those handicapping for the first time though Sarasota Star has had a recent run and sports first-time headgear. Cromwell was still beaten out of sight despite finishing third at Southwell last time.
