No form to go on for this fillies' maiden and the market may prove the best guide, but without it we'll side with SHEILA'S STAR ahead of Wotsthehurry and Mandy's Princess, with Bill Turner's Crazy In Love another worthy of consideration. Stan Moore has had a decent winter and will be hoping for a big run from Sheila's Star, a £20,000 purchase who is related to juvenile winners. In time she may want further than this but her mother won a six furlong maiden at two and we select her in the hope she's speedy enough for the job. Wotsthehurry may prove the biggest threat for the yard that took this contest last year. Mick Channon's filly is interesting as a daughter of first season sire Proclamation who won on his debut, albeit over a mile, before taking the Group One Sussex Stakes. As such, the concern is she'll need further than this but the yard tend to get the best out of their juveniles and a big show wouldn't surprise at all. Mandy's Princess represents Richard Fahey and is accordingly considered, especially as she's related to some fast types including the decent Wi Dud. It's highly likely she'll know her job and the market will give a guide to the stable's expectations, as it will with Crazy In Love. Bill Turner has had plenty of debut winners over the years and this filly could be another as, whilst she's not bred to be a star, she is at least bred to sprint. Scarlet Rocks and Bajan Bullet represent David Evans and it's the former who makes the most appeal as this filly is related to several juvenile winners, but in a tough race to call it's Sheila's Star who gets our vote.
