Verdict
Three Thieves has been in good form of late and can land this event at the main expense of Velvet Valley and Turner's Touch. The selection was bidding for his third course win of the year when only narrowly beaten last time by Jack Rolfe. He gets on well with his rider Tolley Dean and he looks to have rock solid claims. Velvet Valley won well at Southwell last time when beating Shape Up but he has a penalty for that win and this step-up in trip is not sure to suit. Turner's Touch ran a fair race here last time but he is high enough in the weights at present and he is probably best watched. Treetops Hotel has got form here and he has the very capable William Buick on board so he is not without hope. However, Three Thieves is right on top of his game at present and he gets the vote.
