Sun Catcher is taken to defy a six-pound penalty at the expense of Your Amount, Carmenero and Savannah Pride to name but three. It was profitable to follow topweights in nurseries earlier on in the campaign, and although things have ironed themselves out now, Richard Hannon's charge can defy a six-pound penalty here under Ryan Moore. The son of Cape Cross bolted up by five lengths in a Folkestone maiden nine days ago, making virtually all of the running to dominate proceedings. Similar tactics here should see him go close and he is taken to follow up. Your Amount just managed to hold on over seven furlongs at Warwick and the feeling is that he will be served better by this drop back in trip, while Carmenero did not get the best of runs in the closing stages when finishing fourth at Brighton last time. Savannah Pride has a light weight and looked the part when winning on the Turf course here last month, but that was in selling company, and of course Ryan Moore who was in the saddle then is on the selection Sun Catcher who could indeed take some catching.
