A trappy maiden here but something has to win and as usual in these events the market will be very informative but the principals look to be Upstart, Maghya and Acrostic and the vote is given to Upstart. The selection hails from a yard in form and this well related gelding by Vettori is taken to make a winning debut. Maghya rates the main danger on his debut second behind Bombardier Wells. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and with improvement likely he will not be far away. Acrostic is another from a top yard but the suspicion is he will come on for the run. Of the remainder, Cape George is another that is well bred but has been done no favours by the draw and with this in mind for the winner we return to Upstart to small stakes.
