Verdict
There is unlikely to be more than a couple of lengths between the principle players at the finish here and luck in running could play a big part in the outcome. However, assuming that Kieren Fallon doesn't find himself in a pocket aboard Turibius when they come down the home straight, this could be there for the taking for the champion jockey. Polish Emperor rates as a big danger now that he has a couple of recent outings under his belt. However, his record of only one win from his last thirteen starts speaks for itself and he is not one to take too short a price about. Neither are Lady Pekan or The Fisio, who have both thrown away more chances than they have landed and they too are hard to predict in a finish. Madrasee, on the other hand, can usually be relied upon to run her race and she should strip a lot fitter after a couple of visits to this course last month. However, Turibius looks to be the ideal mount for a rider like Fallon in a race like this, as the son of Puissance loves to weave his way through beaten horses as they bear down on the line. Therefore, with the Irishman seeking win number 15 of the campaign so far, Turibius appeals to get the meeting off to a flyer - but only just if he runs true to form!
