Master'n Commander gets the call here, with River Gipsy, Escoffier, Jack Rolfe and Stage Manager rated best of the rest. Master'n Commander comes right into things based on his second to Newnham over 10 frulongs here last time. He looked a little less nervous on that occasion than he had done previously and he looks well up to winning a race of this nature. Stage Manager was a length behind him that day. River Gipsy has shown enough in his career to be rated a leading player in this contest. The Pat Eddery-trained Escoffier ran pretty well when third here over 10 furlongs last time, and he too rates a mention at this longer trip. Jack Rolfe's course and distance third last time rates as credible in the context of this contest, but Sugitani's form rates as modest, as does Bamzooki's. Finally, it is interesting to see Willie Muir's Latin Express take a big step up in trip, and, Grade 1 placed over hurdles, the presence of Grey Report certainly adds some interest to this race but, for the winner, we will side Master'n Commander.
