Verdict

Victories at Uttoxeter, Plumpton and Folkestone recently suggests Pete The Feat has improved this term but he has another penalty to carry here which means he's now 23lb higher than when his winning run began. We'll take on the top weight with WELL REFRESHED, a 15-length winner at Fontwell last month on only his second start over fences and open to plenty of further improvement. Pensnett Bay did well last season and also on his return at Sandown. He shouldn't be far away either but The Black Baron hasn't raced since well beaten in a Wetherby novice chase in February and Sapphire Rouge was a remote fourth on her fencing bow at Fontwell.
