Verdict

In a maiden that should work out well in time TROOPINGTHECOLOUR is given another vote to cure his seconditus with Capeability and Shakalaka looking the dangers. It's fair to say that the selection has been frustrating to follow so far having found just the one too good in all four career starts. His run behind Black Eagle two starts ago now looks very useful form and after hanging away a realistic chance last time he should finally go in if a bit straighter. Capeability is beginning to look exposed but ran his best race for a while when taking on this trip at Kempton last time and if he builds on that he has every chance. Shakalaka has generally been consistent including in a couple of handicaps. His start over timber last time was a bit disappointing but now back in this sphere he should go well again. Try Cat is an interesting newcomer for Sir Mark Prescott and the market might be our best guide to his chances but the form in the book belongs to Troopingthecolour and so does our vote.
