A wide open looking handicap with Red Spell, Green Blades and Compton¿s Eleven all short listed with the vote going to the last named. Compton¿s Eleven has been running out of his skin this season without getting his head infront. As he has been so consistent the handicapper has been reluctant to drop him in the weights but this looks a prime opportunity for Mick Channons charge to shine and with luck in running he will give any punter a good run for their money. Red Spell comes here of a good mark and has been given a chance by the handicapper since his last win back in May. He has run well on this all weather surface in the past so has to be respected. As does Green Blades who ran out of his skin to win a contest at Newmarkrt in July when beating Greenslades and has since run well in defeat so is to be noted.
