A modest contest where some frustrating types have been drawn together - with Carrowdore as the one most likely to give his running. The Danehill colt is just preferred over Beauchamp Ribbon, Ben Hur and Hadath . Roy McAvoy is another to consider for a place if he is supported but he seems tom have lost his way a little and cannot be forwarded with any more than tepid confidence. The same sentiments apply right down the race card but Carrowdore looks a worthy contender after a fair effort in defeat over ten furlongs here last time. The three-year-old has been kept busy this season and has caught the eye on numerous occasions. However, the handicapper has given him a real chance now and Carrowdore will not find many easier opportunities to add to his solitary previous win.
