In a disappointing turnout for this maiden, Spritza is selected ahead of Jaady. With Simpsons Gamble rated 50 and Sherjawy, who is justifiably only rated 58 even though he races in first-time blinkers today, this looks to lie between the John Gosden-trained Jaady and the Michael Bell-trained Spritza. Very green on his debut, Jaady made late headway and showed promise on his debut and, based on that, can go well here. Spritza was second in each of her first two starts, showing in the process that she had a race of this nature in her, and finished the campaign by runnig down the field in a valuable sales race in Ireland. If she is anywhere near her best she must hold solid claims today and, as such, she is the selection.
