    Verdict

A tight, apprentice handicap despite the lack of runners and in which Revolve gets the call ahead of Dower House and King After. Placed and beaten less than a length off a one-pound higher mark at Wolverhampton two runs ago, the course and distance winner Dower House could be fancied on that basis. Other course and distance scorers in the line-up are dual banded winner, Revolve, who was not disgraced off a mark of 56 (now rated 58) over course and distance last time, and King After, who is three pounds higher now than for that winning mark. Generous Lad wasn't beaten far off today's mark two runs ago and, given that this race might turn into a tactical affair, cannot be ruled out either. With Makai having failed to fully build on his selling win of last year, we return to the selection, which is Revolve.
