Verdict

SIR EDWARD ELGAR failed to land the odds at Newcastle back in October having gone close before that. John Gosden’s colt gets another chance over this extra furlong and is preferred to Expect To Succeed. The latter returned a beaten favourite at Kempton last month though has the edge on today’s terms over Wolverhampton runner-up Host but the remainder are harder to recommend with Pop Ya Collar possibly best of them.
