      Verdict

      Gavlar is penalised for his recent win over 1m4f here. But he's still preferred to maiden winner L'Avenue after the latter finished last at Beverley on his handicap bow. Big Kenny has won twice over shorter trips at the track and Daydreamer scored here before disappointing at Southwell. Approaching Star may do better now handicapping but MOUNTAIN KINGDOM makes most appeal. He fits the profile typical of one of Sir Mark Prescott's charges as he steps up to middle-distances for his handicap debut and may well come out best.
