        Verdict

        Go For Broke faded in the closing stages over a mile at Chepstow and was just run out of it. First-time blinkers are applied today. Born To Fly won at Brighton last time but this is tougher while both Applejack Lad and Goodwood Storm have been placed on the Polytrack course at this venue. But LADY SPARKLER has shown ability in maiden races over 6f so far this year. Back over 7f for her handicap debut, Roger Varian's filly gets the vote to open her account.
