This looks a typically poor sprint maiden which shouldn't take much winning and Daintree Affair is the choice to make a winning debut on the polytrack surface. Karl Burke's charge showed plenty of ability on turf last term having twice finished in the frame in fair nurseries at Kempton and Chepstow and this pacey performer looks to have been found a good opportunity to open his account. Chico Guapo has a similar level of form to the selection but is a headstrong type and there is a suspicion that he is something of a short runner. Gerard Butler has an excellent strike rate here and is doubly represented by the once-raced pair Jagger and Li Galli. Neither showed much on their respective debuts last year but Li Galli was an expensive purchase as a yearling and looks the first string judged on jockey bookings. The daughter of Nureyev would not need to have improved by much through the winter to make an impact at this lowly level.
