In the first division of a competitive handicap Todber was expected to go better last time and while we respect his chances it could be worth aiming at some value by siding with course specialist SUHAYL STAR with Irish raider Partner also looking an interesting contender. A return to the turf didn't suit the selection last time out so the run is best ignored. Prior to that he was showing consistent form on the Polytrack, including a runner's up spot over course and distance, and off the same mark here he should be back to his best. Todber was unable to take advantage of a good opportunity to score last time racing off the same rating she'd won off of in her previous run. The only excuse could have been Wolverhampton's slightly slower surface but given he's had a mark rise despite that defeat we just oppose this time. Partner has been running well recently including on his all-weather debut at Dundalk last time. Based on that he's still competitively treated and Jamie Spencer looks an eye-catching jockey booking. Cheap Thrills is a pound lighter than when last scoring but can be a bit hit and miss so we'll take a bit of a chance with Suhayl Star.
