      Verdict

      Several have been in winning form though Brighton winner Little Boy Blue is best at the latter track while Leap Abroad’s recent double came over 6f under today’s rider and he’s penalised 6lb for this. Dayman is fitted with a hood after winning at Kempton but BARGING THRU was having his first outing of the year when successful at Wolverhampton and looks worth sticking with with more to come from Archie Watson’s charge.

      Wonder Elzaam (IRE) 13-2 (9-3) Mid-division, pushed along over 3f out, ridden and kept on one pace from 2f out, no telling impression, 8th of 12, 6 1/2l behind Biggles (8-13) at Kempton 7f hcp (4) pol in May.

      Golden Warrior (IRE) 11-1 (8-13) Badly hampered start, outpaced and always in rear, 8th of 9, 13 1/4l behind Resilience (8-6) at Windsor 5f hcp (2) gf in May.

      Blue Flame (IRE) 6-1 (8-12) Never better than midfield, 8th of 9, at Chelmsford City 7f hcp (3) pol in May.

      Barging Thru 17-2 (9-5) Made all, ridden 2f out, kept finding inside final furlong, held on well close home, won at Wolverhampton 7f hcp (4) pol in May beating Open Mind (9-4) by nk, 8 ran.

      Brunel Charm 9-2fav (9-8) Held up towards rear of mid-division, steady headway over 2f out, chasing leaders when not clear run and switched right entering final furlong, stayed on inside final furlong, went 2nd close home, just held, 2nd of 13, nk behind Under The Twilight (9-8) at Kempton 7f hcp (5) pol in Jun.

      Dayman (GER) 15-2 (9-8) Steadied start, raced keenly towards rear, headway over 2f out, went 2nd entering final furlong, stayed on inside final furlong, led towards finish, won at Kempton 7f hcp (4) pol in Jun beating Skittlebombz (9-9) by 1/2l, 12 ran.
