Meelup has things in his favour today and can win the finale at the expense of Future Deal, Fasylitator and Daniel O'Donnell. Meelup has been in good form this year, gaining two wins, and looks all set to notch another course and distance victory judged on his last run. Jane Southcombe saddled him to land the Jersey Guineas in April, and the son of Night Shift followed up at Warwick nine days later. Just touched off there next time, he put a disappointing effort at Chepstow to rest when a fine third on ground far too fast at Bath nine days ago, and as he is much better treated on the all-weather, Meelup is taken to gain his third course and distance success. Future Deal is difficult to weight up as she makes her handicap debut on this return to the fray. She adapted to Wolverhampton's surface straight away though when scoring on her final start last October, and if fit enough, can play a major part. Fasylitator has won at both Southwell and Wolverhampton, but will needs strong handling if he is to get involved here as he only just does enough, while Daniel O'Donnell has failed to step up on what was a promising debut effort here in March and is best watched. With Lisa Jones on top again, Meelup is the pick.
