    Verdict

Joe Fanning judged the front-running to perfection when scoring aboard WATERSMEET over 1m2f on his reappearance at Chelmsford last week and, though his mount has a 6lb penalty, he's probably better than an 81-rated handicapped so can complete a quick double. The longer trip shouldn't be a problem nor should it for the returning If I Were A Boy, who won twice over shorter at Windsor last summer. The last two winners of this, Thecornishcowboy and Lady Lunchalot, bid for more success and both do well around here with the latter having landed a handicap last month.Comedy House has won twice on Polytrack - both on this track - though over longer trips so this may prove on the short side as he makes his reappearance. Jarlath may provide the main threat as he didn't see daylight until too late at Kempton last time and wasn't beaten far.
