Ripple Effect and The Gay Fox are in good heart at present but we like the chances of Blakeset. David Barron's gelding has been in hot form at Southwell in recent weeks, winning on three occasions. It is four years since he ran on the Polytrack but his trainer is certain the nine-year-old will have no problems adjusting to the different surface. Ripple Effect landed a similar race over course and distance last month and has since shown up well in better contests, back in claiming company, he must have a great chance. The Gay Fox makes a quick reappearance having finished a close up third behind Badou here on Monday and should be in the firing line again. Majhool could come out best of the others, but for the winner it has to be Blakeset.
