      Verdict

      Spinning Ridge defied unfavourable terms to beat both Marajaa and RED SOMERSET in a claimer at Kempton a week ago. The latter made a bold bid considering it was his first outing since October and did himself no favours with a tardy start, but Mike Murphy's charge is taken to come out best on this occasion. Munsarim had Sunnyside Tom behind when winning at Wolverhampton last time and an earlier third behind Chosen Forever gives him the beating of Opus Maximus. The latter had Wishformore back in fourth when winning the first of three races at Wolverhampton at the end of last year but has gone off the boil a little since then.
