Stoic Leader has to be respected as he is set to go up 2lbs in future handicaps following a decent effort in defeat at Wolverhampton last week but just one win from his last 22 starts suggests that Roger Fisher's gelding is probably one to leave alone and preference is for Aggravation, who gets the vote ahead of Another Faux Pas. The last mentioned was in good form when last seen and would have solid claims if fit enough for her return but lack of a recent run is of concern so Brendan Powell's mare may be best watched. Kallista's Pride is capable but may be a shade high in the weights at present, while Perez remains a maiden but has shown promise in recent starts and could be of interest under Darryll Holland. The Willie Jarvis-trained Torquemada is gradually slipping to a fair mark but could maybe do with some more help, while Tiviski is hard to recommend on recent evidence and has yet to prove that she stays this trip. The vote then goes to Aggravation, who had no luck in running here over seven furlongs last time and looks worth another chance on the form of his earlier success over course and distance.
