Lucayan Monarch and Lucid Dreams have already shown enough in similar races to this to hold strong claims here, but we will take a chance on the lightly weighted First Of May. Michael Jarvis's filly has had just three runs to date so as to qualify for handicaps and has shown plenty of promise on all three occasions. The handicapper appears to have given this daughter of Halling a fighting chance against some very exposed rivals, and another plus is the fact that it is Matt Henry's only ride. Lucayan Monarch has been successful in a seller and a banded race this winter but has been placed in better company and should go close despite top-weight. Lucid Dreams got the better of Lucayan Monarch when they met here last month and has since finished placed in two other class F handicaps. At the weights today Lucayan Monarch should just come out on top, however we think that First Of May could spring a surprise and beat them both.
