Just six runners contest this handicap, but it is a fascinating race that may fall to Golden Quest, with Rye and Barathea Dreams posted as the main dangers. Mark Johnston's colt made quite an impression when easily landing a Wolverhampton maiden earlier this month. It appeared to be quite a strong contest and if he handles these different ground conditions he should make a bold bid to follow up. Rye just got up to beat Ballinger Ridge in that controversial race here at the start of the month. He took a long time to get going on that occasion and is rated quite highly by the stable so may well leave that form behind. Barathea Dreams gained a hard fought victory on his debut against modest opposition, but stepped up on that form next time when easily accounting for some similar rivals. The rest of today's field can't easily be discounted, Another Con is in good form at present and Champagne Shadow and Darn Good both hail from strong stables, however Golden Quest looks the class horse and is taken to follow up.
