Kee Ring Highly tried gelding whose best run was his first ( back in September 1998)Not to be trusted
Needwood Trooper Not disgraced in some decent maidens last season but not seen out since August. Best watched this time and could improve for the run.
Carols Choice Decent effort last time out here over 5f when beaten by just two lengths by Sharp Hat. The running of The Bull Macabe and Arogant Prince in the opening race should help gauge the merits of that run. The step up in trip may be a problem.
Dancing Lily Poor maiden. Little worthwile form and can be easily opposed.
Mouton (IRE) Has run a couple of decent races over course and distance without troubling the judges. Place chances at best.
Swing of The Tide Been off the track since August 1999 so probably suffered training problems. Encouraging that he has been kept in training so it would be no surprise to see him in the shake up.
Topless In Tuscany Seems better suited to 7f if his performance behind Boudicea The Red at Southwell last week is anything to go by. Seems in good heart and looks up to winning a race of this standard before too long.
Astle (IRE) Missed break on debut at Southwell three weeks ago and shaped as though he would improve for that run. Looks the one to beat in a not overly competitive event.
Festive Affair No promise on two runs last season. AW debut.
If By Chance Not without a chance on his running against Sandles at Wolverhampton in May. Lost his way a little after that but this step up in trip could suit as well as the return to the AW.
Skukusa This filly is due a win and her last two runs have been solid and consistent, although she may find a few too good for her again.
