Ben Hall has been competing in better company, though his form has tapered off of late. An official mark of 92 suggests he's the one to beat but a couple of less exposed types make more appeal. Ripon winner Complicit could only manage second over 6f in heavy ground last month but today's extra furlong should prove no problem on that evidence. However, SIR ROBERT CHEVAL was heavily supported over track and trip last week and duly obliged with a seemingly effortless win. There looks plenty more to come from him and he can go in again with only Yagheer making any appeal of the remainder.
