In depth

Verdict

Rocker will appreciate this drop back to the minimum trip and can gets his head back in front at the main expense of Hereford Boy and Scarlett Heart. Having run out of gas last time out over six furlongs, Rocker returns to the scene of his last win. He is adaptable in terms of tactics and he will need to be from stall 10 however if able to gain a decent pitch early on, he can go close today with his small stable having a winner last week. Hereford Boy has a six pound penalty for his recent win at Brighton but that wasn't a strong contest and so he is passed over, along with stablemate Camissa who should have come on for his recent run on ground too quick for him. Drifting Gold scored in first time blinkers when last seen but might struggle returning from a break in this competitive handicap. Scarlett Heart is just out of the handicap but cruised to victory at Kempton last month and mustn't be underestimated. Rocker gets the nomination.
