In this maiden the consistency of Paul Cole's DARWIN'S DRAGON appeals over Our Day Will Come and La Verte Rue. The selection placed in his last outing, which was here over a mile, and he's beginning to learn to settle better. That will help his chances and with that result coming off the back of a similar effort on his penultimate start this colt rated at 71 should improve further to do the business here. Our Day Will Come may be rated at two pounds better than the pick but there seems more scope for improvement for Darwin's Dragon. So that leaves Our Day Will Come perhaps with a bit to find despite some decent performances in the last few runs. The form from the latest effort works out quite well and he won't be far away. La Verte Rue has proved effective on this surface but is yet to find her ideal distance. She shaped has if she needed this trip when running over a furlong shorter last time and that could bring out her best. Zim Ho's temperament is a little at question after getting a bit warm before fading late on last time. As his experience grows so will he while any money for the newcomers should be noted but the vote goes to Darwin's Dragon.
