A decent contest with last years winner Peruvian Chief attempting to follow up off a 4lb higher mark. He is a consistent sprinter, who comes into this in good form, but he will have to turn in a personal best if he is to defy a career high mark. He has nothing in hand of the improving Dusty Dazzler, who will again be ridden by the useful apprentice Amir Quinn. The combination are unbeaten in two outings together and they get the vote to continue their winning ways. Jodeeka has been in good form through the winter, but this is a step up in class for her and she may find some of these too sharp, while the speedy Justalord is another who has made hay over the winter, picking up three races along the way. His rating has suffered as a consequence and is now some 23lbs higher than when gaining the first of those wins back in November. Still he remains in cracking form and should run well. The mare Roses Of Spring has been a credit to connections this winter, but she is held by the selection on their running here earlier in the month, while No Time is also held by the selection, although the latter may be open to some improvement. Taboor needs things to go his way, but isn't out of this if things do drop right for him, while Toldya is sure to be sharper for her outing at Wolverhampton last week, her first since since October. The main threat could come from J M W Turner, who would have gone close last time had he anything like a clear run. He is better over an extra furlong, but with so many front-runners in the race, there is sure to be a strong pace and none will be coming home better.
