chased leaders, ridden 3f out, weakened 2f out
tracked leaders, effort on inside when short of room entering final 2f, soon switched right, pressed winner inside final furlong, driven and unable to quicken towards finish
YOUCANALWAYSDREAM and Sakile were separated by only a short head over course and distance last time and we'll take Kevin Ryan's charge to get the better of that rival again ahead of Zubova. The selection came from well behind Sakile that day to grab second in the shadow of the post and having fared well with the draw in stall two can confirm that form to be accurate by obliging here. The Irish-bred filly is related to plenty of winners over further but showed she has the speed for sprinting last time and should prove hard to beat, especially if all-weather maestro Neil Callan makes plenty of use of her. Sakile showed good speed last time when third and Jamie Spencer will surely be looking to bag the rail early aboard this daughter of Johannesburg who has showen gradual improvement through all three starts to date. It will be interesting to see the market take shape here but without that opportunity we narrowly oppose Peter Chapple-Hyam's filly today. The other with convincing form claims is Richard Hannon's Zubova who steps down from 6f today having showed the requisite speed last time when a close up third at Windsor. The filly has run well on all three starts to date on various types of ground but as this is her all-weather debut and she's fared badly with the draw in stall 9 the percentage call looks to be to oppose her this time. The Strig stepped up on his debut last time at Kempton but connections may well have their eye on handicaps over slightly further after today whilst Slip Sliding Away has to put a disappointing effort last time out behind him and so this race can be fought out by those with solid form in the book, from whom Youcanalwaysdream is our selection.
