Cold Turkey disappointed in the Chester Cup last time but he should be capable of making amends today with Jack Dawson and Odiham the pair we fear the most. The selection finished well down the field behind Anak Pekan at Chester but that run should be discounted as this 5-year-old needs to come from off the pace and he did not get the gaps that day. He goes well here and in this easier race he should take plenty of beating. Jack Dawson is another that disappointed last time; he was beaten at Thirsk behind Malarkey. However, he did not have ground conditions to suit that day and he did run well on his last appearance here when narrowly beaten behind The Violin Player over an inadequate trip. Odiham made an encouraging return to action at Newmarket when fourth behind High Action, and he is interesting as he tackles this trip for the first time. Land 'n Stars finished in front of our selection last time so he is another to consider, especially as he is proven on this surface. However Cold Turkey rarely runs two bad races in a row and after disappointing last time he should be capable of getting his head back in front today.
