Another competitive handicap in which Lockstock, Ali Bruce, Andaluza and Katiypour look to be the leading players and the vote is given to the last mentioned. The selection was a beaten favourite when last seen out over this course and distance, but he is well-drawn here and if he can run up to his best then he should go close at a decent price. Lockstock won well last time when beating Master Mahogany on heavy ground at Bath. However, that was over a mile and this trip is a little on the sharp side for him these days. Ali Bruce won well over 6f at Southwell when beating Norcroft, and although this is more competitive he will benefit from the extra furlong today. Andaluza could therefore give our selection the most to do as she is an improving filly who won in fine style when beating Merdiff at Wolverhampton last time. She is lightly-raced and is respected, but for the winner we will seek some value and return to Katiypour as our selection.
