EBONY BOOM and Chicha Morada could improve sufficiently from their debuts to get the better of Kensei who was a shade disappointing last time. Ralph Beckett's charge showed promise on debut behind the useful Lord Zenith but failed to build on that on soft ground at this track last time. He may well prove that running to be all wrong but there are some promising sorts amongst the opposition. Chicha Morada made a satisfactory debut in a fair maiden at Kempton and it would be no surprise to see her leave that form behind in due course but we'll take a chance with Ebony Boom who was expected to fare better on debut. That run was on heavy ground which may well have proved too much for the stoutly bred colt who ran green but he may now be able to fulfil the promise that he's presumably shown at home. This is easier than the race in which Round Won made his debut so he's worth a second look as he makes a quick return to the track but preference is for Ebony Boom.
