A chance is taken with Red Sovereign, who edges preference over Willheconquertoo and the in-form Gone 'N' Dunnett, who should help ensure that they will all have to keep going to the line. Franksalot also comes into the reckoning now that he has got the benefit of a recent run behind him and he holds sound each way claims. Watch the market carefully where he is concerned. Gone 'N' Dunnett has held his form well of late and can never be confidently ruled out at this level. However, a 6lb penalty does make it easy for him and he might just find one or two have his measure today. Willheconquertoo has also maintained a consistent level of form and is capable of playing a leading role this afternoon. John Egan has got on well with him of late and another bold bid is expected from the partnership. However, Red Sovereign makes more appeal on these terms and just gets the nod. The Ian Woods-trained filly has run consistently well in her races, even though she has not enjoyed the best of fortune of late. However, she is now attractively weighted and, having won off this mark in the past, Red Sovereign looks the percentage call in a tricky contest to get to grips with.
