Saturday's feature event can go to Blue Sky Thinking at a decent price, with a whole host of others including Grand Passion, Bustan and Caluki, expected to play a prominent role. Finding the winner of this expensive event is no easy task but Blue Sky Thinking is a progressive sort and gets the vote. Karl Burke's five-year-old showed what he can do when landing a 0-100 handicap here in January, and got no sort of run next time in the Winter Derby Trial in which he was giving weight to the likes of Grand Passion and Eastern Breeze. He is drawn eight of the 14 runners so with a bit of luck this time should be able to motor down the middle and play a major role. Grand Passion bids to emulate Parasol who landed the Trial last year before adding this contest to his tally, and he will be fancied by many after the way he brushed aside Eastern Breeze. However he is drawn in stall 14, widest of all so Darryll Holland will have to be quick to come across to the rail. Corriolanus, like Blue Sky Thinking, did not get the best of runs and having been placed in Group company in Germany, should not be ruled out. It is interesting that Bustan is kept in training by Sheikh Hamdan, and he will no doubt be aimed at one or two middle-distance Listed prizes in the summer. He is best watched today though along with Italian raider Caluki. Best of the rest could be Vortex but he faces a stiff task despite his gutsy record. An interesting race can go to Blue Sky Thinking.
