A competitive handicap can go to Street Life at the main expense of Lorikeet and Ariodante. The selection has been in good form of late and comes here in search of a hat-trick. He wore down his opponents last time out over this longer trip, and a 4lb rise in the weights for that win may not be enough to stop him today. Jockey Tony Culhane certainly lets the horse know what is expected so they could team up to good effect again. Ariodante has been running consistently this winter and so must enter calculations although he doesn't appear as good on the all-weather as the turf, and so for that reason he is passed over for win purposes. Lorikeet won in good fashion just 17 days ago, beating Ariodante and although he incurs a 7lb penalty for that win, he must rate a live danger. This ex-Irish dual-performer is a grand servant to connections and may be able to go in again before returning to hurdling on better ground. Blackmail isn't the horse that he used to be so is passed over, whilst Burgandy has been in good form of late so must enter the frame. However, we will stick with Street Life to gain his third victory in a row.
