Sir Mark Prescott's Show Business is certainly not one of the stable stars but he gets the vote in this weak race, with River Prince and Bridget's Team heading the shortlist. The last named is one of the rare ones in the lineup to have won a race so must be considered. The drop back in trip looks sure to suit so she must have major claims, however her wide draw makes things tricky so we will pass her over. River Prince takes a drop in class after contesting two fairly decent maidens. He wasn't disgraced in those, as he didn't handle the Brighton track on the latter occasion, so it can be assumed that if he is fit then he can make the frame at least today. However we will stick with Show Business to get his head in front at the third time of asking. He travelled well for a long way on his last run, and this drop back in trip could benefit this well-bred gelding. His stable has had some good winners this week so we will side with Show Business to get his head in front.
