Mick Channon's WOOLSTON FERRY just has the vote here with Cool Art expected to return to some form and Rio Royale with a claim. As well as recording a course and distance win in August the pick was also a winner over distance at Wolverhampton on his latest. He is a consistent performer over this trip and should continue to run well. Cool Art was disappointing in a much better contest than this last time failing to make an impression over a shorter trip at Great Leighs. The colt was a course winner in September again over the shorter six furlong trip and with the big step down in class he should have enough to be in the mix. Rio Royale took to polytrack well on his latest outing when third of thirteen at Great Leighs last time out. That form may not have been stood up but it has slightly from his distance win on the turf in June and with the opposition here, in the main, not as good then he has every chance at the prize pot. Hawkspring is an interesting runner after a win at Southwell last time but with the conditions very different here it is only a small chance so Woolston Ferry looks best placed to take gold.
