Odabella caught a tartar when beaten by Yawmi (winner again since) at Chester last time and looks well treated for his handicap debut with Czarina Waltz and Cuddles rated the main dangers. The selection had been expected to be too good for her rivals on the Roodee but, with hindsight, probably lost no caste in defeat behind the Barry Hills-trained winner. A mark of 75 seems fair for Odabella and she looks the one to be on. Sister Sophia has been expensive to follow and remains a maiden while Cuddles, who is better on this surface than on turf, has been below par of late. Top weight Czarina Waltz seems plenty high enough in the weights at present, as does the ex-Irish Fingal Nights, who has shown very little since joining current connections. Anyhow and Eva Peron are others to consider but Odabella is the one that gets the verdict.
