Maghazi, Mushajer and Artushof are three against the field in this maiden and the vote is given to Maghazi. The selection was sent off favourite when only fourth on his debut behind Resplendent Nova. However he is sure to have learnt from the experience and from what looks a good draw he will be hard to beat. The selection's stable companion Mushajer rates the main danger on his placed efforts of last season but he has no experience of this surface and he may just need the run after a 268-day absence so he is passed over on this occasion. Artushof is a well-bred sort from a stable that can ready a newcomer so he should be noted closely in the market. Of the remainder, Shade Cozy is from a yard whose debutantes usually come on for the run but with Kieren Fallon aboard he is another that should be monitored in the market but in a race where the betting will give plenty of clues for the winner we return to Maghazi who is sure to have come on from his debut effort.
