        Verdict

        Although Cold Turkey was in flying form on the all weather through the winter, his latest start suggested the handicapper now has his measure and is taken on with the very lightly weighted Dolzago, who has taken well to this surface and is still open to bags of improvement. Gig Harbour is another that is respected but has a stiff test at the weights so is also given the swerve for win only purposes today. So too is the unexposed Milville, who is two-from-three and the track and will be a popular choice after his game victory on his handicap debut last time. However, he needs to better that performance in this stiffer company and may not represent the best value on offer today. Therefore, Dolzago, with Lisa Jones in the saddle, is handed the selection here. Jones has a cracking record from the first time she has teamed up with horses of his type and she obviously knows what is required to get the best out of an improving individual. Off a mark of 64, Dolzago does have a little to find on the book with a few of these but his speed figures are comparable with almost the best of these and he looks to be the bet of a very tricky race to fathom.
