An extremely tricky start to proceedings, with 10 unraced juveniles going to post, so only a tentative vote goes to Carlitos Spirit over stablemate Wrecking Crew, Global Traffic and Love In May. Rod Millman and Alan Munro teamed up to good effect with two-year-olds on a number of occasions last term, and you can be sure that this season will be profitable as well, at least until the big guns bring out their youngsters. With that in mind, we shall attempt to jump on the bandwagon before it gets into top gear, with Carlitos Spirit there pick. A half-brother to Melrose Place and Church Mice, he will hopefully have inherited enough of their speed to make an impression at the first time of asking. Stablemate Wrecking Crew is bred to come into his own over further, while Global Traffic is a son of Paul Cole's Derby winner Generous, and likewise will be best over further eventually. Love In May should be noted in the market, as should Bill Turner's Spoof Master, but we return to Carlitos Spirit as the selection.
