      Verdict

      A tricky affair despite the small field but there's plenty of pace on show which could play into the hands of STASIO. The 280,000gns colt found the favourite just too good on his debut at Kempton but will have benefited for the experience and William Buick keeps the partnership intact. Both Bapak Sayang and Teophilip made most of the running when winning their respective maidens over shorter trips while Fat Gary was only headed inside the final furlong at Doncaster last month. Hughie Morrison could have found an easier opportunity for the newcomer Secret Talent and the latter is worth a second glance in the betting.
