Beowulf, gets the vote to win this maiden with Digger Boy and Lake Poet rating the main dangers. The selection was sent off favourite on his debut but could manage only third behind Samurai Jack. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and given nominal improvement he will be hard to beat. Digger Boy rates the main danger as he is a well bred colt by Kings Best and hails from a yard that can ready an newcomer so he should be noted in the market. Lake Poet is another that could go well on his best form but he has had plenty of chances in similar races without taking one and again he looks vulnerable to a less exposed type, Of the remainder Cape Of Storms is another well bred type from a yard that does well with it¿s debutantes but he is bred to be sen to better effect over further in time and for the winner we return to Beowulf.
