      Verdict

      It could pay to stick with MELVIN THE GRATE in this. Andrew Balding's charge landed a double with a cosy victory in this grade over track and trip last time. He can confirm running with Tigers Tale despite the worse terms. Beach Bar should go well again having suffered a narrow defeat here on his first start since August and is preferred to Lunar Deity. Steelriver is at home in this grade but has something to prove over the longer trip, as does Miracle Of Medinah, who ended last season badly out of form.
