Magic Lily returned from a lengthy absence to finish second in this grade at Saint-Cloud. She is making her all-weather debut but could figure if that run has brought her forward, though she doesn’t have the best of draws. Both of the Aidan O’Brien runners - Simply Beautiful and Quote - also have wide draws and Joseph’s Crotchet has been allotted stall 10 as she attempts this longer trip for the first time. Frankie takes the ride on last month’s course winner Scentasia but she was beaten out of sight on her last run over 1m2f behind the fast-improving EVA MARIA. Richard Fahey’s filly is having a first run on an artificial surface but she has come on in leaps and bounds since stepped up in trip and is well worth a try at this level. Ojooba found 1m4f too far last time but Contrive is best over a mile.
