Goring won over 7f on All-Weather Championships day here in April and is only 3lb higher, though hasn’t raced since June. Alrajaa goes for the four-timer having already won on Polytrack at Chelmsford and Kempton but this is no easy task for the Gosden three-year-old as he is giving weight to some battle-hardened performers. ALEMARATALYOUM won an optional claimer at Goodwood in September and was then a fair third at York, when he was probably a shade keen. He’d been going well at Chelmsford previously and has won on Tapeta so won’t be inconvenienced by a switch back to this surface. Ptarmigan Ridge has placed over a mile but is better over 6f and 7f. Star Of Southwold is a prolific winner but needs forgiving a poor run at Chelmsford when last seen. Three Saints Bay may do best of the O’Meara pair on this track.
