In depth

Verdict

Adecco has been showing improved form of late but Gary Moore's gelding has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper as a result and may be a shade high in the weights so preference is for Magot de Grugy, with The Hardy Boy rated the pick of the remainder. The selection stepped up on his reappearance run when successful at Chepstow last time and while an 8lb rise for that success looks harsh, the more testing conditions here are a huge advantage as is the form of Robert Alner's runners. Supreme Tadgh would need to improve on his reappearance run to take a hand, while Lindsay has yet to prove that he handles ground this testing. Khazar showed enough when sent here last term and has to be of interest, although a bigger threat is likely to come from The Hardy Boy. He will have no problems with the underfoot conditions but may be a shade high in the weights and preference is for Magot de Grugy.
